Rockwall County will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, October 27th to gather public input for a County-wide Hazard Mitigation Plan. The meeting is from 6:30 – 7:30 PM at the Rockwall County Historic Courthouse; 101 E. Rusk, Rockwall 75087. The public is invited and encouraged to attend the meeting. The goal of the Hazard Mitigation Plan is to minimize or eliminate the long-term risk to human life and property from known hazards by identifying and implementing cost-effective mitigation actions. The public meeting is to obtain public input to help the project team to identify and analyze potential hazards affecting residents and recommend possible action to reduce their impact.
