The Development Services Department includes the functions of planning, zoning, plan review, building inspections and permitting. The department facilitates growth in the community and ensures structures in Royse City to be constructed, altered and maintained to meet the standard for quality of life and safety in Royse City.

Contractor Registration Form – Contractors should be registered with the City of Royse City annually. Contractors can check the status of their registration if previously registered or submit a new application by accessing our online portal. Click Here
Commercial Permit Application – This application should be filled out and submitted with plans for each commercial project when submitting online and in person.
Residential Permit Application – This application should be filled out and submitted with plans for each residential project when submitting online and in person.
Certificate of Occupancy Application – A Certificate of Occupancy (C.O.) must be issued prior to occupancy of commercial use. The application must be submitted with the required fees. A C.O. inspection and Fire inspection are performed. The inspections must pass prior to issuance of C.O.
Food Establishment Permit Application – All food and/or beverage establishments in Royse City are required to have a Food Establishment permit. The permit is issued annually. All expire at the end of the calendar year.
