Parks & Recreation

Parks

The City of Royse City Parks and Recreation Department consists of approximately 45 acres of developed parkland, with 4 playgrounds, 3 catch and release ponds, and 1.5 miles of nature trails and jogging paths.  The citizens of Royse City also have, to their access, a baseball/softball complex and a soccer complex, with various practice fields.

Royse City strives in providing safe and healthy play spaces for all ages and plays an important role in the quality of life for our citizens.

Recreation

Royse City is proud to partner with the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas to operate all of the sports programs offer through Royse Parks and Recreation. Beginning January 1, 2020, the following sports will be available and managed by the YMCA: youth baseball, softball and T-ball and adult kickball and flag football.

“We are so excited about our cooperative partnership with the YMCA. The YMCA has a long history of bringing tangible value to a local community. Our partnership will enhance the lives of Royse City citizens and broaden the levels of services available to them.” said Mayor Janet Nichol. “We feel honored to have been chosen to join other cities in flying the YMCA banner.”
