Welcome to the City Secretary’s Office

The Royse City City Secretary reports directly to the City Council and serves as a statutory position required by State Law and the City Charter. As the City’s Records Management Officer, the City Secretary is entrusted with the management and preservation of Royse City’s official records and with ensuring transparency through the Texas Public Information Act.

Our office also oversees municipal elections, making sure they are conducted with accuracy, integrity, and in full compliance with the Texas Election Code and City Charter. We coordinate the appointment process for boards and commissions, manage City Council agendas and legislative actions, and administer oaths of office. Additional responsibilities include processing liens, certifying alcoholic beverage license applications, posting legal notices, and maintaining the City’s corporate seal.
