The City of Royse City is not affiliated with 8-1-1, so water and wastewater are located by Public Works.
With the exception of emergencies, The City of Royse City requires at least a 72-hour notice for locates.
The area must be delineated in white paint prior to locates.
Work is not authorized on weekends or holidays.
Emergency locates need to be called in to 972-524-4843 and workers need to be onsite to meet a Locator.
After hours locates need to be called in to 214-794-2888 and workers need to be onsite to meet a Locator.
If contact is made with an underground water or wastewater line during excavation, even if there is no noticeable damage, contractor must stop excavation and contact the City of Royse City.
For residents, Public Works can ONLY locate water and wastewater lines from the street to your meter and from the street to the City clean-out.
