General Information

Depending on the project, The City of Royse City can require a Master, Preliminary, Final and oftentimes a Development Plat. 

Plat Submissions are typically the First Wednesday of every month. Applications can be processed through MYGOV and are open from 7:30AM - 5:30PM. Submissions via email or in-person delivery are not accepted. 

Plat requirements will vary depending on the location of the property.

  1. If the site is located outside both the city limits and ETJ, the applicant will default to the platting requirements per its applicable county. 
  2. If the site is located within the ETJ or "Extra Territorial Jurisdiction", applicant is subject to only Final Plat Requirements. However, the site must meet all Subdivision Requirements outlined in the City of Royse City Code of Ordinances Chapter 10A. Article III.
  3. If the site is located within City Limits, applicant is subject to all plat types and their applicable requirements. 

Every submission, regardless of plat type, must attach the following document to their submittal
